Mark Kelley (Klamath Falls) is a traditional fly tyer who has been tying flies and fly fishing for 55 years. He is a member of the Klamath County Fly Casters.
Bio
During his youth in Rochester, NY, Mark Kelley learned how to fly fish and tie flies from his grandfather and from a friend. While in graduate school, he took a class in fly fishing and went on a trip to Montana with the instructor. He decided to move out west to Idaho, where he began his teaching career. When he heard about the great fishing in the Klamath Basin, he moved to Klamath Falls and got involved in the local Klamath County Fly Casters. He is now a member of the board and serves as membership secretary. Kelley welcomes and gets to know the new members of the club, which now total about 60. In addition to his fishing, he ties flies for his own use and for giving away to new members of the club.
